ok so we left off on the 10th July

so as per usual i have been working. been a good week.. well nearly. 

on the 15th i was late cos two buses were supposed to turn up and didn't so i arrived at work late and this then meant that i was late for my shift so they had found someone to fill in for that shift so i was technically available to work somewhere else. i was places at Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls. i had fun but it was hot and those folks can be miserable. i was happy when lunch came though as there was a cute cat waiting by the cafe. apparently they live at Universal on the grounds.

the 16th was amazing because lecturer came to see me in Ollivanders and when i saw him i dropped my character immediately and gave him a hug. all i can say for Martin Metcalfe is thank you for the amazing help you have given me the last 5 years. made my day...literally.

the 17th i was working but the 18th i got to go and see R.I.P.D for a team member preview and i will say right now it is the best film i have seen all year. so funny.

on my day off on the 19th i went to fun spot but it was a huge disappointment. two rides and 4 baby rides and 1 go kart track and some arcade games....wait for it...for....$39.99 plus tax. ouchy. never again.

i worked on the 20th and came home to find my apartment has been broken into...nothing stolen but lock is not working.

ok, update time

30th June to 9th July

well i have been working hard and mainly at Flight of the Hippogriff. i love working here but sometimes things just don't go as you plan. for most of this week i have had one stroke of bad luck after another. i have had bad shifts and rained on so much i have been shivering and been made to cry on the job but with all this i can still say i love this job.

one of the best days was when i went to work a Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. i went into the castle and got to play a student. i was a Ravenclaw and got say things like "dont make me get my wand out" and " do you like my school". i loved it. i got praised for having excellent theming and asked if i could transfer. all i could say was maybe when i come back. hehe.

since then i have just had a few good hours and then bad hours. i guess it's just like any normal job.

on my day off i spent it in the park.


10th July
so today gets its own paragraph. i had a very bad day. i got spat on today by a guest when i was doing my job. i was roaming so had to keep my eye on the ride track for jumpers and i noticed someone smoking so i told him you cant smoke here sir and he turned round and he spat on me. i then said if he wanted to smoke he had to go to the area for smoking. i had to give a witness statement as it was classed as a battering here in Florida. bad day.

i'm back

ok, so we left off on saturday. wet and miserable. sunday 16th i had a pamper day to get ready for the week ahead. very relaxing but nothing to really say.

monday 17th

i got up and got ready to go to universal studios in business casual. but when i got there it was time to change into my Hippogriff wardrobe...unfortunately unless someone takes a picture of me in my wardrobe you wont be seeing that. i then went off to the ride to start my training. so the next 2 days i was training for operation of the ride. i got to ride the ride...more than once i must say and it was great. so what if it's a baby ride.

the third day, wednesday 19th

i was in ollivanders today. the wardrobe is so different. both of my outfits are hot but im hot in my swimsuit here so that won't make any difference.. another full day then i went into the breakroom and did my exam to ensure i knew everything...well 10:4 to that. i passed with flying colours and got signed off super quick and apparently the quickest one ever. me done good.

20th
today was my day off but i picked up a shift so i could earn more money. it was good. nerve-wracking to say the least but i had fun. i love my job. it seems everyday it rains and the ride can't operate with lightning and that's when it gets scary. everything went ok though. thoroughly tired though and in work again tomorrow.

21st
off. yay. today i went to the mall to get aquainted with my surroundings and i loved it. bit big but i got a bath bomb and a pen which is also a fan. took me all day. i never knew malls were so big, you can get lost in them.

22nd
in work...again nothing special to report. it's hard work and very sweaty and hot but i enjoy it and   my colleagues talk to me so it's a great place to walk.

so this week ive been in work solidly apart from tuesday and today, saturday. i'm so glad i got signed off because i can officially operate the ride and the other safety positions. the people i work with are so helpful as well. if i can't remember something they help so i dont forget anything. i haven't had chance to see the fireworks yet but have been on some rides.

so enough about work...now for the fun stuff.

so it's hot, i love work, and i get to play but for the last two days i've not been well. i have a cold and a cough, mucus, yuck. i went to the pharmacy and they gave me sudafed but i had to sign a meth log as apparently people make drugs with sudafed. how odd.

so today has been my day where i haven't been out. i wanted to go to seaworld but being ill has its consequences. tv, bath, blog, games and sleep before a packed week of work.
